Roof Repair Smedway built its Roof Leak Repair division around one idea: homeowners across Vermont, VT deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders in towns across Vermont, VT, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
Ask any Roof Repair Smedway crew lead for a copy of our Vermont, VT license and certificate of insurance and they'll hand it over before you even finish the sentence — that's standard practice here, not a special favor.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Roof Leak Repair teams across Vermont, VT build to avoid that call entirely.
Every lead technician carries current Vermont, VT credentials before stepping on a ladder.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Faster arrival times because a crew is usually already nearby.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Heavy granule loss is one of the earliest visible clues that a roof is approaching the end of its service life.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
Poor roof ventilation or compromised insulation from a slow leak can quietly push cooling costs up month over month.
A visible bare patch after a windstorm means the roof's weather barrier has a direct gap that needs covering immediately.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Emergency dispatch across Vermont, VT covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
From a handful of cracked shingles to a full asphalt or metal system replacement, our residential crews scope the job against manufacturer specs, not guesswork.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
Specialized repairs cover ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and low-slope transitions that standard shingle crews sometimes overlook.
Call +1-844-212-9199 and describe the issue — active leak, storm damage, or a routine inspection — and dispatch will get you on the schedule.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
Every repair and install comes with a workmanship warranty separate from the manufacturer's material warranty.
Our estimates are itemized in a format most carriers recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
We also guarantee the estimate itself: barring a scope change you approve in writing, the number on your written quote is the number on your final invoice.
